A Very Merry Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas the Bauer family had this year! It was Nathan's second official attendance at Christmas festivities and boy did he love it. It took him a while to get going, but once he figured out how to say "open" and rip that paper, he went after it! Which was good because I believe he received an estimated total of 8 million gifts this year! However about half of that (4 million) were books. He seriously racked up more than 20 books this year and I think those are just about the most awesome presents a kid can receive so I was very excited about that. He also got everything from Elmo gear to a real guitar to a pony he can bounce on all day long! For a recap of our festivities, we went to Hope Tuesday after a short work day for Jonathan and I and we kicked off the holidays with a yummy dinner, followed by a visit from none other than Santa Claus himself. Although Nathan was not quick to give him a hug, he was not at all scared of him and gladly accepted the Elmo Live he brought for him. On Christmas Eve morning we woke up and opened presents with my parents, followed by a trip to Grammy's house for even more presents. We went home that night so Nathan could get in bed before midnight and let Jolly Saint Nick bring even MORE presents. (No, we don't know where they will all go.) When Nathan woke up on Christmas morning, he was very surprised to see his own Mickey Mouse bean bag chair and Little People farm set. Then we traveled over to Grammy and Poppy's for... yep you guessed it. More presents!! :) And also a huge amount of fun family time for everyone. We had an absolutely perfect Christmas this year and I hope you all did, too.

A very Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Love,

Jessica, Jonathan and Nathan
