"I'm McDonald's!"

So Nathan and I had some McDonald's for lunch. You could tell lunch was a little late and beginning to cut into nap time when Nathan grabbed his Happy Meal box, placed it on his head, and said "Look at my hat. I'm McDonald's." I'm sure my inability to control my bursts of laughter encouraged him further because when I asked him to remove it, he said "No, I look like Scooby Doo." Two year olds... go figure!

Best Buddies

This weekend the Harrell family paid a visit to house for some cute little kid together time and a few bowls of chili. We all had a great time visiting and I finally remembered to get some pictures of Nathan and Jovie together. Nathan had not seen Jovie in a few months, as was evidenced by his request to "feed her oatmeal and bottles" when she arrived. He quickly learned that she is a big girl now and they spent the evening chasing each other up and down the hallway. And they were just too cute together for me not to post pictures. :)

Park Day

Sunday afternoon we were called out of our lazy positions at home when a real estate agent asked to show the house. Since it finally stopped raining for a day or two, we took it to the park, one of Nathan's favorite destinations. He played on the swings, climbed on the playground, and picked up much of the park's pine needles. And of course I brought my camera because nothing's cuter than a good swinging picture. Just thought I'd share a few. Enjoy! :)

PS - On the same note, the real estate agent who showed the house Sunday actually sold it to those shoppers, so I'd say it was worth getting off of the couch to head to the park. An even bigger plus - no more hiding the toys and staging the house.

Home Sweet Home

So we may not ever be home owners (at least for a while), but we are now officially home buyers! The offer we put on the perfect house we found last week was accepted and now we are moving forward with the purchase. To tell you a little more about the home, it's off of a country road, about 10 minutes from town, in a small neighborhood of three houses. It's about 200 square feet bigger than our old home, but the best part (aside from the mowing) is that we have 1.5 acres of land to ourselves. That will be nice to have so much room for Nathan and Susie to run around. As for the house, it's 3 bedroom/2 bathroom, with a big open floor plan and a fire place. We cannot wait to get the Conway house sold and start the big move. We are super excited and thought we would share a few pictures from our happy house-finding day. Hope everyone is doing well!

Change is in the Air

For those of you who have been watching the Bauer family closely over the past few weeks, you know that many changes are in the very near future for our little family. Jonathan has always been interested in becoming involved with McDonald's and now it is apparent he is joining the team sooner than we imagined. Yesterday we looked for houses in Nashville, AR so we can make the move to allow Jonathan to begin work as a manager at that store. Luckily (and surprisingly) we found the house of our dreams a little ways outside of town and made an offer. We are hoping to close on the house by mid-October and Jonathan's start date is Nov. 1. It sounds like a long time, but I know we are going to be very busy taking care of things in Conway and getting ready for the big move. We are going back to Nashville next week to work things out with the bank and hopefully I'll be posting good news of an accepted house offer soon. Anyway, I just wanted to share with everyone what has been going on and give you all a heads-up for what's to come. Stay tuned here and I'll be sure to keep you up to date on the Bauer family's journey down south.
