My One-Pound Mango

Hello everyone! I'm here today with one of your favorites - a fruit/veggie comparison! Baby Owen and I are at 23 weeks today and he is now the size of a large mango, which weighs in at a whopping pound! Sure, that doesn't sound like much, as he will (hopefully) grow six or seven or eight times that size, but it's a vast improvement. Heck, the kid started out the size of a poppy seed so over five months, that is some considerable growth. Here's a quarter comparison so you can really see the difference:

He is much bigger than a quarter these days, don't you think? Although he still has a lot of growing left to do, I can already tell that Owen is going to be a rambunctious little boy. As I've mentioned before, he's kicking and punching and rolling like crazy. I don't ever remember Nathan moving this much. Jonathan was able to feel how active he is for the first time a few nights ago. We're hoping he gets all that out in the womb. That's how it should work... right?? :) Oh, well, we're going to have a house full of boys, so I should expect nothing less.

As for me, I'm still feeling great. However, I think over just a few short weeks, I have finally gone from pudgy to pregnant (see below). I seem to be growing at a slower rate this time around, but I am perfectly okay with that. :) As far as symptoms, other than a growing tummy and the soreness that comes with it, I'm doing just fine. Once again, we are still keeping up with our (bi) weekly belly shots. Here I am with Bauer Boy #2 at 23 weeks:

I love watching my belly get bigger each week, knowing that Owen is becoming a strong, healthy little baby. As much as I love pregnancy, I am SO ready for it to be over so I can meet this little guy. Mama and Owen wish you all a very happy weekend!
