Garden Gorgeous

During my daily garden check with Nathan and Grammy this morning, something occurred to me. All of my veggie updates show food we've grown or plants that miraculously sprouted out of the soil. However, I've yet to share an important part of the garden - the beauty of it! Every crop we've planted, except for the watermelon, has flowered. And since we were checking in the early hours, many of these rare blooms were open. I marched back into the house, grabbed my camera, and started snapping. Above is a pretty little sweet banana pepper flower. Take a peek at a few more, including a beautiful okra flower, a sunny cucumber blossom, and an eggplant bloom hiding behind its cage:

While stopping to smell the vegetable flowers, Nathan was quick to notice a friend on the marigolds. Since the majority of my plants are flowering, spotting a bee is a good sign.

I know you can't wait to see what these colorful blooms turn into. Luckily it doesn't take too long to go from flower to veggie, so check back soon and hopefully the harvests will be rolling in. Happy Sunday!
